5 great Spanish books recommendations for Christmas to read and learn with our children.
Are you looking for 5 great Spanish books recommendations for Christmas to read and learn with your children?
These 5 books are all about Christmas, some are crafty, some are search books some are for children where Spanish is spoken at home and some to start learning the language , which ones would choose?
My first recommendation is this great family book aimed at children from 8 year olds: Manual de la Navidad
With stories, ideas to decorate the nativity and Christmas tree, recipes to cook together and traditional carols. If Spanish is your home language and you want your children to get immersed in the Christmas spirit in Spanish this is for you!
Let’s get busy looking for Papá Noel, this book is recommended for 3 year olds onwards:¿Dónde está Papá Noel?, published by La Galera and illustrations from Roser Calafell.
An other book of the same title but for the littlest ones in the house and great for the your young learners.
A delightful book with felt flaps for young children to peek behind. Look out for the polar bear, the snowman, the elf and the Santa himself! Lift the final flap and there’s a surprise mirror – always a hit with babies and toddlers! Perfect for sharing at Christmas.
Written entirely in Spanish, ¿Dónde está Papá Noel? has been developed especially for the very young, with only one simple sentence on each page. It is published in Spain and uses Castilian (European) Spanish.
An other book for the little ones and perfect if you are introducing Spanish as an additional language.
Let’s celebrate the night when the Three Wise Men arrived with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh for baby Jesus. Inspired by their magical journey, this book will introduce little ones to beautiful bright colours and their first English and Spanish words. Your child will travel with pink camels through the high desert, and follow the many estrellas turquesas to their destination.
Los Tres Reyes Magos: Colors / Colores is a bilingual board book to introduce children to their first ‘colours’ words in English and Spanish. It is published in the US and uses Latin American Spanish with US English.
The 3 wise Men are again the main Characters in this beautiful pop up book. For 5 to 6 year olds, this is a great book to discuss all the details of the great illustrations and pop ups. Los Reyes Magos.
I hope you find one that your children will love and can spend some time enjoying family time with some Christmas treats and great reading.
